Everett: meaning- "Strong"

I want to thank all our friends and family who came out on a sweltering hot evening to celebrate Everett turning One. He's been playing with his new toys non-stop. Well, except the hammer Uncle Matt gave him- that's put away for safe keeping :) Wasn't it a blast making our own sundaes, and watching Sadie interact with all of her cousins- way past her bedtime!

I cherish my very healthy son and the hard time we had together during my pregnancy with him. At one time, I thought my struggle with a failing gallbladder would never end. I know it made me a stronger person, tougher if nothing else, ha. However, I see Everett as the stronger one. So fragile & vulnerable in my womb- powering through all the meds & such... to be born safe, sound, and un-affected by my illness. Thank you Lord for protecting him then, now and forever!
*Everett's first name comes from his Great-Grandfather Carr. Later, we learned that it coincidentally means: Strong. Well suited, don't you think?*
(It also says something about being strong as a wild boar, but who wants to visualize that?)
